Since our formation by Frederick Kemp, back in 1961, Kevin Karpets has grown significantly mirroring the rapid expansion of the home improvement market.
As a consequence, the company changed its name and undertook a corporate re-branding exercise to reflect, more accurately, the growing stature of the business. The company became K2 Flooring; a token acknowledgement to its double 'K' heritage. The use of Flooring in the title also encompasses the wider offer of a choice of materials including real wood and laminates, Amtico and Karndean, rather than merely the supply and fitting of carpets.

The name change was necessary to convey that, as a company, we have expanded from simply supplying and fitting carpets for the domestic market, although our prices are always suitably keen enough to satisfy homeowners in what remains our core business.
We became members of ACG (Associated Carpet Group) Buying group in 1986. This enables us to purchase from suppliers at much discounted prices enabling us to pass back to our clients big savings on RRP Prices.
